My hometown is Ho Chi Minh city which is the biggest city in Vietnam. I have lived there for 18 years, before I came in NZ. I have lived in NZ for a year so i really miss my family, my friends, my house and my city where I had many memories in my youth., however, nowadays my hometown has changed very much.
One of the most noticeable is that many farms and fields which many farmers and also my grandmother had grown rices, have been cleared, and many cottages have been demolished and replaced by houses and trees. In the heart of my city, most of run-down old buildings have been knocked down and rebuilt by skyscrapers and modern buildings. Many night clubs and restaurants have sprung up around my city and every night the bars and restaurants are always packed because people in my city really like night life. Specially, two new bridges have been constructed and many new roads have been built. It's quite convenient for transports.
Although, my city became a modern city, I still prefer a countryside because when I stay there, i can breath the fresh air, play traditional games such as fishing and enjoy a tranquil life without bustling and pollution.
