Changes in Jin's city

With the development of economy, great changes have been taken place in my hometown over the past decades. My hometown has been best known for its agriculture in China, however in 1990s local government focused more on the industrial development which was thought of as a rapid means to raise living standard at that time. Following consequences were that the city was expanded into surrounding countryside and farms were cleared to make way for the industrial park. Old buildings were demolished all over the city where tall buildings and great mansions were sprang up in short time. Modern supermarkets were built in the center of residential area.

The development was happened in my hometown at an amazing rate which causes some problems on the other hand. A large number of people have come to the city from rural area which leads to boosting population in the city. The improvement of infrastructure and transportation could not keep up with the increasing population and the terrible pollution problem, which seems very common for every city in China.

After experiencing such a period, different changes have arisen recently. The division of the city district has been much clearer instead of disorder expansion. More woodlands have been established around the residential area as well as city squares. Some old monuments have been preserved well as attractive resorts. Of course there still have been a couple of problems in my hometown, however in my view it has become more and more comfortable.
