My hometown is Zhengzhou in China, which is a small city, but there is a large population. I lived there until I was 15. Over the past twenty years, it is experienced a large number of changes. One of the most noticeable things is that many of the old buildings have been demolished to make way for newer ones. Also, many of the other buildings have been upgraded. The city used to a much greener area with a lot of trees, but most of trees were cut down and replaced by cinemas and restaurants so the city looks modern , but it is not green any more. There was a river which I used to swim with my friends when I was young. Such a thing will not happen again because the water has been polluted by several factories which have sprung up beside the river. I think the city has definitely become more multicultural in recent years and it is good for city’s economy, but I still like the city which it used to.
