The King of Kowloon-Tsang Tsou Choi

Tsang Tsou Choi is one of my all-time favourites in Hong Kong. I am sure that all of the Hong Kongers know his name and his story. His printing is monochrome because he just used the Chinese ink to finish his art work.  It is really stunning and plain, we can know his meaning though his words. This painting is really striking, it can draw my attention.

Actually, the painter was a crazy man who had mental problems. He used to print his graffiti in the column so policemen caught him over 50 times. He thought he was the king and had a power to manage this area.  It is the reason why he called the King of Kowloon. For your information, Kowloon is a busy place in Hong Kong. Although his art is full of the dull Chinese words, there is a story about how he can manage Hong Kong with his special hand-writing. He died in 2007, many organizations donated the money for him to hold the exhibition.
